Community Involvement
Ken Claussen has been an active participant in Miami’s and Florida’s civic, trade development and professional communities. He served as chair of the World Trade Center Miami and continues as an active ex-officio member of its board of directors. Following his term as chair, he served as the Trade Center’s liaison to the World Trade Center Association, headquartered in New York. He addition to his World Trade Center activities, he is actively involved in promoting Florida as one of the leading states for global trade through his membership in the Florida Council of International Development. He also recently served as Secretary and General Counsel to the Florida Trade Data Center, which was operated by the Florida Seaport and Transportation Council and Enterprise Florida. He is a member of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s International Business Committee, which he chaired in 2001.
